⚾️ TBolts host Alexandria Aces tonight
First pitch is at 7 p.m. Blair Baseball Stadium. Concessions will not be available tonight.
The home opener is a distant memory. The record reads 1-7. And yet baseball has a way of resetting itself every single night, which is exactly what Silver Spring-Takoma is counting on.
Tonight, the Thunderbolts return to Blair Baseball Stadium for a 7 p.m. first pitch against the Alexandria Aces (6-4). The game was originally scheduled for June 10 and has been rescheduled as a makeup. For the Thunderbolts, it’s a familiar setting – their only win of the 2026 season has come at Blair – and they’ll need every advantage that home turf provides.
Player to watch tonight: Mason Kelleher (So., Frostburg St.). Five games in, the sophomore catcher is hitting .500 with a .650 slugging percentage, three doubles, and a .545 on-base percentage across 20 at-bats. Yesterday he scored a run on a fielder’s choice in the sixth, made a diving basket catch near the first base dugout, and gunned down a baserunner in the eighth. He’s exactly the kind of two-way player who can change a game — and the stats suggest he’s been doing it all season.
